Dates: 5/3/2010 Our Alumna, Viola Chou, is organizing a 9-day Hokkaido/Northeastern Japan tour and an extended tour to Beijing and Shanghai (see attachments). Hokkaido is the second largest, northernmost and least developed (nature) of Japan's four main islands. If you are lucky, you may be able to see Cherry Blossoms in May, 2010. The Tohoku (lit. "North East") Region consists of six prefectures in the north of Japan's largest island Honshu. The Tohoku region is well known for its countryside, mountains, lakes, hot springs, high quality rice and rough winters.

The Travel Club of the BEINU Alumnae Association has finalized the
itinerary and the cost (non VIP) for the China Culture Tour.
Since the Club has organized two trips to China before, some of our
"Old Customers" have already signed up even before we post the
itinerary on our school website and newsletter. Currently, we already
have 34 people confirmed. Therefore, we negotiated with Estella (of
the travel agency, GAT) and she agreed that the GAT will provide two
45-people/seat buses if we have 48 people signed up for the trip. We are planning to accept 16 more people to the group to make it a
50-people group (good enough for GAT to provide two 45-people/seat
buses). We will place those new participants on our waiting list
until we reach 50 people (so we can travel in two 45-person/seat
buses)
